Start Spoken English at from Age 4: help children speak English like their mother tongue.
Linguaphone Children’s English (LCE) is a 6 level Spoken English program, for students from the Lower KG to Grade 4. It provides a total of 360 hours of study, and also builds 141 overall development skills so necessary for success in school.
It is based on the principles of Multiple Intelligences and the 7 Smarts, with a specific focus on gaining confidence in Spoken English. It fits in very well with the Primary curriculum that has moved towards themes, topics and activities, instead of learning subjects by rote.
It was developed by a team of over 100 experts – authors, consultants, educators, designers, directors and actors to create a unique learning resource of the highest quality.
It uses Guided Total Immersion( GTI), and immerses the child in a world of Spoken English. This is the best way to learn a language, just as we did our mother tongue.
It uses the Fun Learning approach with stories, games, activities, songs, and other forms of play, to accomplish its learning goals. Learning is always easy when learning is fun.
All the material in LCE is graded and fully integrated, so that English is first understood, then practiced, and then reused, ensuring complete mastery.
The program consists of the following components:
- TOPIC BOOKS and audio cassettes introduce language, concepts, and ideas in new ways.
- STORY BOOKS and audio cassettes reinforce the language introduced earlier in a memorable and enjoyable way.
- ACTIVITY BOOKS practice the language taught in the Topic and Story Books.
- HANDWRITING BOOKS lay the foundation of good writing through a unique system developed by the world’s leading authority Dr. Rosemary Sasson.
- A SONG BOOK and CASSETTE add to the fun of using English.
- A PICTURE DICTIONARY that is built around themes, and covers all the 1300 words in LCE.
- BOARD GAMES introduce the element of play based on the content and language of the stories.
- A PARENT TEACHER GUIDE that provides a road map through the entire course.
LCE delivers an English vocabulary of 1300 words - the equivalent of a US High School graduate.
LCE is more than just an English learning program. It helps a child’s overall development. It sharpens 71 early development skills, 45 grammar and structure skills and 25 lexis skills. It includes entertaining stories, games, activites and songs which make learning English fun. It uses books, audio tapes, activities and games to provide interactive learning
